COVER STORY

Sphinx cover shotWow-de-wow! I’m grinning from ear to ear. Just heard that Fiddle of the Sphinx and other Quintessentially Quirky Tales has been voted: “A top contender for title of the month” in the July e-book Cover design Awards on Thebookdesigner.com.

I’m so thrilled – this is my first ever attempt at a pictorial book cover and I have to thank hugely talented artist Jean Hill for the hilarious illustration and my mate Peter Jones for creating all the typography magic.

And if you think this is good, just wait until you see Quintessentially Quirky volume 3 – That’s Why The Lady is a Vamp! coming out this autumn. Jean and Peter have come up with a cover that will blow your socks off!

  1. Interesting piece on short story likes and dislikes Iain. So, I don’t suppose you’ll want to review my 500 word story about Zac, the Tourette’s sufferer who transports himself into the year 2086 to find a possible cure…has he or hasn’t he, when he returns to the present? – around the 495 word mark. I couldn’t fit the ending into 500 words, so the reader can decide.
